Columbus Saber Academy
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Description: Founded in 2015, Columbus Saber Academy offers structured martial training in modern swordsmanship. Our Historical European Martial Arts program offers training and practice in longsword, rapier, dagger, sabre, and pike.
Classes cover basic and advanced techniques, forms, drills in timing, distancing, footwork, offensive and defensive strategy and tactics, controlled bouting, and tournament sparring.
Our programs are designed to develop conditioning, confidence, sportsmanship, and discipline.
HEMA Lexington
Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Description: HEMA Lexington is a Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) group based in and around Lexington, KY. Our classes teach martial arts from the late middle ages to the early modern era with an emphasis on longsword and supplemental work in other weapon systems such as rapier, and sword & buckler. Must be 18 years or older to join our group.
Hilt and Helm Pittsburgh Fencing Club
Location: 352 Butler Street. Pittsburgh PA 15223
Description: We are a HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) club which studies manuals from fencing masters published between the 1300’s and 1600’s to learn how the swordsmanship was taught and practiced during the periods in which it was most in use. Then equipped with modern HEMA gear and specialized steel weapons designed to allow us to safely practice at full speed and intensity, we proceed to stab each other!
Royal Arts Fencing Academy
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Description: We are Ohio's longest running HEMA club as well as one of the most decorated. We focus on the German Longsword tradition of Johannes Liechtenauer with an emphasis on historical accuracy and martial applicability.
Two Ravens Fencing School

Description: Two Ravens Fencing School is a group of enthusiastic practitioners of sword-learning. We specialize in western European disciplines of the sword and a few other weapons from the Middle Ages up to Modernity. All have proven to be exciting and engaging ways to stretch and strengthen one’s body and mind.
Youngstown Historical Fencing
Location: Youngstown, Ohio
Description: Our purpose is to reconstruct historical European fencing traditions through a combination of scholarly research and martial training, specifically focusing on the German school of longsword fencing.
